Actually, this isn’t my first business trip, but this is my first trip alone to Asia in a long time (actually, in 10 years, since I first went to Hong Kong after graduating from UCLA, of course, since then I have gotten married and now have two daughters). This trip is going to be almost entirely work. I may have some time to meet up with my cousins in Singapore and maybe do a little shopping to get stuff for Rebecca and the girls. I know I will certainly miss them since this is the first time that I will be away from them for so long.

This is also my first trip since graduating from Business School and taking on more responsibility at work. I will be going to Malaysia first for about 6 days, then onto Singapore for 3 days and lastly 4 days in Taiwan. I’m going to have to do a few talks, but mostly I will be meeting up with our corporate staff and also spending time getting to know our sales leaders in each of the different countries.

I’ll try blogging my trip as a way to process each day so that I don’t forget everything before I even get back.

For the moment, I am sitting in the China Airlines VIP lounge (free wifi is a good thing), and they just announced that the boarding time has been delayed. The life of a business traveler, I guess. Anyways, please pray that I will stay healthy (my throat is a bit irritated due to being overly tired) and that I will be able to get some rest with all the flights and meetings each day.
