Whoa, had a bit of a scare there. I doubt anyone even noticed, but in the process of upgrading my blogging software WordPress and K2 theme package to version 2.0, my blog went down for about an hour or so. I got it fixed now thanks to the K2 Support Forum (I am coming to appreciate how forums are great sites to get really relevant and ‘on the ground’ support). I guess some of the code is still in beta (should really stick to my philosophy of avoiding betas unless I’m really willing to work through the bugs, that’s why they’re called ‘beta’).

I was kind of annoyed and even a little bit worried when my blog went down, even if it was just for a few minutes. I think I’m going to have to be careful in setting healthy boundaries and expectations on my blog as a writing tool and channel of communication / conversation.

A confession is that the theme package upgrade actually came out last night, but I didn’t get home till really late, and I was tempted to do the upgrade last night. Good thing I didn’t, otherwise, I would have either stayed up even later to try and fix it, or would have gone to bed in a very bad mood. Thank you to my wife for keeping me accountable in using my time wisely (or at least as wisely as possible).
